<h3 style="color: red; text-align: center"> <strong><u>Viewcrest offers competative wages, great benefits, paid time off, flexible schedules, scholarships, and much more!</u></strong><br /> &&nbsp;</h3> <strong>* Hiring for full and part time<br /> <br /> Position Purpose:&&nbsp;</strong><br /> The primary purpose of your job position is to carry out direct resident carein accordance with our established policies and procedures and as may be directed by your supervisors to ensure that the highest standard of nursing services is maintained at all times.&&nbsp;<br /> <br /> <strong><span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive">Responsibilities:</span></strong> <ul> <li> Participate in and receive the nursing report upon reporting to duty.</li> <li> Follow established policies concerning exposure to blood/body fluids.</li> <li> Follow established policies/procedures for performing all cares.</li> <li> Follow written NAR procedure for designated shift.</li> <li> Attend to daily care needs per each resident&&rsquo;s plan of care (e.g. bathing, oral care, hair care, nail care, transfers, feeding, ambulation, R.O.M., elimination needs, intake, output, catheter care, dressing, turning and repositioning, collection of specimens, weights and taking vital signs) and document the care each time it is provided.</li> <li> Observe residents regularly and respond promptly to call lights, while showing respect for resident&&rsquo;s privacy.</li> <li> Report changes in residents&&rsquo; condition and/or normal routine including nutrition, elimination, ambulation and skin integrity.</li> <li> Turn all medications found in the resident&&rsquo;s room/possession (that are not care planned to be there) over to the Director of Nursing Services or Nurse Manager.</li> <li> Provide considerate and respectful care, preserving the personal dignity, modesty and privacy of the resident and family.</li> <li> Communicate (intra shift) with co-workers, supervisor, and DON as appropriate, regarding resident&&rsquo;s progress and your progress with daily resident&&rsquo;s care.&&nbsp;</li> </ul> <br /> <strong><span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive">Individual Responsibilities:</span></strong><br /> <ul> <li> <span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive">Demonstrate the ability to obtain information and data in terms of resident&&rsquo;s needs.</span></li> <li> <span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive">Demonstrate an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these residents and ability to provide treatment.</span></li> <li> <span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive">Possess communication skills necessary to interpret age specific response to treatment.&&nbsp;</span></li> <li> <span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive">Practice nursing policies and procedures concerning resident restraints and side rails.&&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <p> <span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive"><strong>Education and Experience:</strong><br /> Nursing Assistant (NAR) on the MN State Registry in good standing or the ability and plan to complete Nursing Assistant course work and/or complete skills and written competency testing in accordance with regulations and facility policy.&&nbsp;</span></p> <p> <span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive"><strong>Specific Requirements:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li> <span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive"><em>Able to operate the following equipment:</em></span> <ul> <li> <span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive">Bathing tubs/showers</span></li> <li> <span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive">Mechanical lifts</span></li> <li> <span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive">Charting</span></li> <li> <span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive">Transfer belt</span></li> </ul> </li> <li> <span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive">Specialized chairs, wheelchairs, and positioning equipment</span></li> <li> <span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive">Urinary catheters and ostomy bags</span></li> <li> <span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive">Dental Care</span></li> <li> <span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive">Hearing aids&&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <br /> <span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive"><strong>Physical and Sensory Demands:</strong></span><br /> <ul> <li> <span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive">Must be able to walk, stand and sit for 4-8 hours in an 8-hour shift.</span></li> <li> <span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive">Must be able to lift, carry, or pull 30 pounds.&&nbsp; Rarely an NAR may be subjected to lift more than 30 lbs in an emergency situation.</span></li> <li> <span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive">Must be able to push 50 lbs.</span></li> <li> <span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive">Must be able to lift 31- 60 pounds with assistance.&&nbsp;</span></li> <li> <span style="font-family: comic sans ms, cursive">Must follow facility policy and procedures when using a mechanic lift is warranted.&&nbsp;<span style="display: none">&&nbsp;</span></span></li> </ul>
